Adelaide, South Australia
There’s no place like home!
My love for South Australia comes across strongly in my art, and its the definite foundation for a lot of what I do. The way I express that has become what I am known for, and has lead to so many iconic Adelaide-based opportunities and meetings.
My first solo exhibition ‘Dazzleland’ in 2019 featured 2D and 3D artworks based on life and culture in South Australia and was met with excellent reception. The opening night featured Mr Fruchoc handing out SA’s favourite candy, award-winning lamingtons supplied by Kytons Bakery and mini frog cakes from Balfours Bakery, as well as wines from Small Change and a special Dazzleland IPA by Sweet Amber Brew Co. Images from the exhibition, as well as many others, feature in the gallery below.
“We love the way that Casey showcases SA culture in a fresh, fun and supportive manner. Casey’s exhibition is so important and relevant as it breathes new life into and embraces our cultural icons for a new generation”
– Polly Love, Robern Menz Managing Director
“At a time when news can be doom and gloom, Casey lifts spirits. She captures the kitsch elements of our past with sensitivity and humour. In a way, she reminds us of our youth – the things that unite us, and why we’re lucky to live in SA”
– Katie Spain, author ‘Adelaide Central Market: Places, People and Recipes’
“It’s Casey’s willingness to experiment with ideas and forms of expression, and to create conversation and community through her joyful celebration of South Australian icons and identity that makes her work so distinctive and engaging”
– Jade O’Donohue, Three D Radio
